That is a big secret for now, I wouldn't want any copy cats to work on something similar while following my progress ;) ... But for now: - Try to collect more stars than the bots can! This will teach the Ai about its environment, its purpose in 'life' and in the game, and what the game goals are from the non-player's perspective.
It couldn't be more basic than that, but trust me, this game will eventually blow your mind.

Extract the zip to any folder then launch "MyFourthGame.exe" and click "More info" then "Run anyway" if the Windows SmartScreen popup appears (and it should!)

"My Fourth Game: Ai Wars"
I am working towards a freely available 2D Game Engine that will allow everyone to develop and build the games of their dreams. Somewhat similar to Unreal and Unity Engines (perhaps) but dedicated for 2D games only using 2.5D x,y,z coordinates which enable 3D graphics for all objects (generated with Blender or similar) but in a 2D game, exactly like Factorio and countless other games have.
To achieve this goal, I am building the ultimate new revolutionary 2D game, a game so fun, so addictive, and so satisfying, it will change the game industry forever. The aim is to create something so new and so different it will be remembered forever just like Factorio, Geometry Dash, Command & Conquer, Sonic, and Super Mario.
I am a gamer and have been since I was very young, 6 or 7 with my first computer being a ZX Spectrum, after which I built my own gaming PC's throughout the 1990's. I have learned over 30 programming languages and absolutely love coding. I am a gamer at heart and know what gamers love and what makes a game good or bad.
My new game will be known as "My Fourth Game: Ai Wars", and the open source game engine "My Fourth Game" to compete with Unity, Unreal, Godot, in the 2D space only.
My4thGame Ai Wars will be revolutionary in every way, like no game ever before. It will be a mix of dozens or more of the world's most famous and beloved games with a completely new style of gaming involving Ai enhancements on both sides, the player, and the bots.
My Fourth Game and Ai Wars both use Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Data Oriented Design (DOD) as a hybrid approach to maximize performance while keeping the code human friendly. The game engine is now fully 2.5D supporting 3D models with x,y,z coordinates but completely tuned for 2D games only. 3D Blender generated models will be used for all elements in the game, and all non-engine critical aspects are exposed via simple API calls, making the game engine extremely moddable, customizable, and modder friendly.
Bots will learn as the game progresses, they will observe, learn and improve, and upload their memories to the collective upon death. Bots will have dreams, these dreams will be hazy versions of memories uploaded by fallen bots which they can download and absorb at least in part to their own experiences, allowing Bots to not just improve during gameplay but be reborn and spawned with inherited abilities, skills, and knowledge just like a new born giraffe or any four legged animal which can immediately stand at the moment of birth, or have fierce fighting behaviour like a pack of wolves, or the ability to fly in the sky without ever taking a leap of faith.
My4thGame Ai Wars will be based loosely on games such as Clash of Clans, Lemmings, Mario, Pacman, C&C, Dune 2, KKND2, Halo Wars, Factorio, Tetris and many more, however, both the player and the computer sides will be Ai enhanced providing a new gaming experience like never before, with some concepts similar to Rain World but without so much environmental noise, and with similar Ai improvements to games such as Red Dead Redemption 2's Ai behaviour for NPC's, but with a focus on fun and not just realism.
This is an Early Access BETA test version of the game, it is very basic currently but surprisingly fun for what it is so far is.
Development commenced in January 2025. The game code consists of 48 C# source code class files, including a dozen supporting files for audio, camera, collisions, rendering, and the mini map etc, and a total of 4,500 lines of custom code so far!
